Blog Review

Blog Site 1
I was introduced to Kathy Schrock on the web when I first started taking technology course work through Fontbonne several years ago. I have enjoyed visiting her website and her blogs over the last couple of years. I also benefit from using many of the materials she makes available for educators on the web. She stays current and offers effective ways to implement technology in the classroom. As an educator, she understands the importance of advocating for the use of the latest technology in the classroom. Be sure to check out her post from December 6, 2008.
Blog Site 2
This is a blog I stumbled across about 6 months ago. It's filled with all kinds of good resources for written expression and reading. It offers an entire section on digital storytelling. As a middle school special education teacher, I'm always looking for innovative, engaging and motivating ways to help these students develop that love for learning that we all talk about. Check it out, I'm sure you'll find something here you can use.

Blog Site 3
This blog offers a good representation of how blogging can be used effectively in the classroom. It provides a good means for sharing information and communicating with students, colleagues, parents, and the world. I'm new to this blog and every time I visit it, I find something interesting and smart. Again, its primary focus is written expression. I found the links to other blog sites that are mentioned on this site to be worth the time. This blog also includes numerous links to some good technology resources. I liked reading about the projects in which technology was an effective tool that allowed for collaboration between students from other schools. I do not use a blog in my classroom, but am thinking of ways I could include it next school year.
